Step Back

The step back move is very similar to the snatch back except your not snatching the ball between your legs or behind your back to create space, but instead you are doing a pound dribble and the player is using that opposite foot and stepping witht that foot to make it took like their going to drive but in reality the player will step with that foot and use that foot to propel them back and create space from their defender to be able to shoot a wide open shot.

Benefits: The step back is important for improving the agility of ball handlers. It can help players anticipate the movements of their opponents and create space when dribbling the basketball. This drills can help build strength and endurance, which can come in handy when making split-second decisions on the court.
